Description
We are seeking a talented individual to join our Monitoring and Payment Operations team at Marsh McLennan. This role will be based in Witham. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.Accounting Operations Manager - Treasury and Payment Operations
- This role will report to the Global Head of Monitoring & Payment Operations and will manage 5 direct reports.
- You will oversee the daily activities of the Cash Control team and manage projects that influence Cash Control processes.
- Provide expert advice on all aspects of receipt and payment processing and offer project support as a senior member of the Finance team. This includes liaising with senior management, participating in controls discussions, and making informed recommendations.
- Foster a supportive work environment with a strong focus on staff development by identifying training needs, providing growth opportunities, and encouraging continuous learning to enhance team skills and career progression.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including banks internal departments and internal teams across EMEA - Europe, UK, Middle East and Africa, to include Treasury, Controllership and Fiduciary.
We will count on you to:
- Manage banking platforms and payment processes in full compliance with SOX regulations and financial controls, including but not limited to Independent Validation, Anti-Money Laundering, Data Protection, segregation of duties, and other relevant governmental and contractual requirements.
- Ensure strict adherence to Treasury policies and service level agreements (SLAs).
- Serve as the primary point of contact for banking partners, overseeing day-to-day relationship management.
- Lead change management efforts and guide teams effectively through evolving environments.
- Support projects and initiatives, providing recommendations to enhance operational efficiency.
- Apply your expertise in banking platforms.
- Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and adaptability.
- Empower and delegate responsibilities within the team to foster growth and accountability.
- Promote collaboration and team building.
- Combine strategic thinking with both short- and long-term planning capabilities.
- Make sound decisions while managing risks effectively.
- Exhibit proficiency in relevant technologies.
- Drive continuous improvement by leveraging technology to optimise processes.
What you need to have:
- A degree-level qualification in Accounting, Banking, Treasury, or equivalent relevant professional experience
- Extensive Treasury experience within a large multinational organisation, including strong banking knowledge.
- Significant proven management experience, demonstrating leadership and team development skills.
- Strong understanding of financial controls, regulatory compliance, and risk management.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
