Description
A well-established investment management firm is seeking a proactive, goal-oriented professional to join its Fund Operations & Accounting team. This role provides broad exposure to fund accounting, valuation, audit, and tax reporting for investment vehicles and group entities, offering an excellent platform for career growth in alternative investments.Key Responsibilities
- Manage accounting for SPVs, co-investments, and discretionary accounts in private credit, distressed assets, and litigation funding
- Oversee quarterly NAVs, investor communications, and capital activity (subscriptions, transfers, distributions)
- Lead month-end valuation processes, including fee and carry calculations; review fund administrator valuation packs
- Liaise with brokers and banks for account openings, KYC, and operational matters
- Prepare audited accounts for corporate and fund entities; coordinate with external auditors
- Monitor listed equities and bonds via Bloomberg to ensure coverage ratio compliance and manage top-up/top-down mechanisms
- Collaborate with deal teams, auditors, and valuers to finalize valuation methodologies during deal execution, reviews, and exits
- Conduct corporate accounting, including management reporting, cash flow forecasting, and liquid capital monitoring
- Maintain accounting records and valuations for investment SPVs; assist with structured lending deal execution
- Ensure timely and accurate regulatory filings, including CIMA FAR and tax reporting
- Assist with statutory returns (FRR, ES, CRS) and coordinate with internal compliance
- Support audits for Cayman-domiciled funds, including financial statement preparation and audit coordination
- Coordinate with tax advisors for corporate tax filings in Hong Kong and the United States
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience within an investment firm, with a strong background in audit, loan valuation, accounting, finance, or financial reporting.
- Prior Big Four audit experience strongly preferred.
- Strong technical knowledge of valuation, impairment testing, and risk analysis.
- Excellent communicatoin skills in in English and Cantonese (spoken and written).
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
