A rare opportunity exists for an accomplished Executive Director to lead a highly regarded residential community known for strong governance, meaningful scale, and a deep commitment to excellence. The Executive Director serves as the chief executive and operational leader of The Vintage Club Community Association, responsible for advancing the Board’s vision while ensuring exceptional performance across all association functions. Reporting directly to the Board of Directors, the Executive Director provides strategic leadership, financial stewardship, and operational oversight for a premier residential community and its seven sub-associations with high expectations for service, discretion, and professionalism. This role calls for a highly organized, proactive executive who can set priorities, make disciplined decisions, and translate Board policy into effective execution across infrastructure, security, governance, and resident services.
As the Association’s senior leader, the Executive Director is a trusted advisor to the Board, a visible and respected presence within the community, and a confident leader of people and systems. Success in this role requires exceptional communication and writing skills, a high degree of emotional intelligence, and the confidence to make and uphold difficult decisions while providing clear, firm guidance with professionalism and diplomacy. The Executive Director must navigate complex stakeholder relationships with composure, anticipate challenges, and consistently safeguard property values, enhance quality of life, and preserve the distinctive character and standards of The Vintage Club Community.
ABOUT THE VINTAGE CLUB COMMUNITY ASSOCIATION
The Vintage Club is a private residential and club community located in Indian Wells, California, at the base of the Santa Rosa Mountains in the heart of the Coachella Valley. Renowned for its privacy, natural beauty, and refined lifestyle, the community blends thoughtful design with a strong sense of stewardship and place. Residences range from custom estates to villas, all within a meticulously maintained, gated environment that prioritizes security, tranquility, and architectural harmony with the surrounding desert landscape. Community life is anchored by two nationally acclaimed Tom Fazio–designed championship golf courses, an iconic clubhouse, dining venues, wellness and fitness amenities, racquet sports, pools, and a robust calendar of social and recreational programming.
The Vintage Club Community Association works in close coordination with club governance to preserve the community’s infrastructure, aesthetics, financial health, and overall quality of life. Governed by a member-elected Board of Directors, the Association is responsible for common-area maintenance, security, compliance with governing documents, and long-term capital and reserve planning. Through disciplined oversight and thoughtful stewardship, the Association plays a central role in upholding the standards, consistency, and care that define the community experience.

Requirements
The Executive Director serves as the senior operational and administrative leader of The Vintage Club Community Association and its seven independent neighborhood sub-associations. This role is responsible for the overall management, maintenance, and long-term stewardship of a premier residential community, ensuring that services, infrastructure, technology services, security, and governance are delivered at the highest standards. Reporting to the Association Board of Directors and supporting the boards of the neighborhood associations, the Executive Director leads Community Association Managers, support staff, and the Director of Security while upholding the culture, values, and service expectations that define The Vintage Club Community experience.
In close partnership with volunteer leadership, homeowners, and external partners, the Executive Director provides strategic direction across financial management, capital planning, contracts, security operations, architectural control, and regulatory compliance. The role requires a seasoned leader with strong interpersonal skills, technical acumen, and sound judgment to navigate complex projects, California HOA governance requirements, and member expectations. Through collaborative leadership, disciplined execution, and a service-oriented mindset, the Executive Director ensures operational excellence, financial integrity, and a cohesive community environment that supports both the short- and long-term success of The Vintage Club.
INITIAL PRIORITIES OF THE NEW EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
The primary near-term priority for the Executive Director is the successful planning and execution of the community-wide fiber and telecommunications infrastructure transition from AT&T to Spectrum. This includes providing clear leadership for project governance; contract review; understanding of technical challenges; coordinating contractors and sub-associations; maintaining strict quality, safety, and aesthetic standards; and ensuring timely, transparent communication with residents to minimize disruption and protect the community experience.
In parallel, the Executive Director will provide strong financial oversight, risk management, and contract compliance throughout the project, working closely with the Board, legal counsel, security leadership, and Community Association Managers. Following completion, the Executive Director will lead the service transition and stabilization period, while establishing a foundation for long-term operational alignment, cross-association consistency, and future capital planning for The Vintage Club Community Association.
CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS
At least 7–10 years of senior leadership experience in community associations, residential management, hospitality, nonprofit, or related settings.
Strong sense of emotional intelligence, gravitas, and genuine diplomacy.
High level of organizational skills.
Demonstrated expertise in budgeting, finance, operations, and strategic planning.
Experience overseeing complex facilities and multi-faceted service operations.
Capable of managing large- and small-scale capital projects.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills.
Experience with luxury or resort-style communities.
EDUCATIONAL AND CERTIFICATION QUALIFICATIONS
A bachelor’s degree is preferred, with a focus on business administration, public administration, facilities management, or a related field.
Substantial private club community or hospitality experience will be considered in lieu of the degree.
Industry certifications such as CCAM, PCAM, CMCA, AMS, LSM are encouraged but not required.
Working knowledge of the Davis-Stirling Common Interest Development Act preferred; willingness to obtain relevant certification if not currently certified.

SALARY AND BENEFITS
Salary is open and commensurate with qualifications and experience. The Association offers an excellent benefits package. Salary Range: $200,000 - $250,000.
