The Role We are seeking a Senior Garden Manager to lead the execution, care, and evolution of high-end residential landscapes. This is a leadership role for someone who sees beyond maintenance—someone who understands gardens as living systems and takes ownership of their long-term success. You will oversee crews, guide horticultural standards, manage client-facing communication, and ensure every property reflects the level of excellence Lotus is known for.
Key Responsibilities Horticultural Leadership Oversee plant health, pruning strategies, fertilization programs, and seasonal care Diagnose and proactively manage pest, disease, and environmental stress Guide planting execution and ensure long-term success of installations Bring a refined eye to gardens—understanding structure, balance, and seasonal progression
Team Leadership & Execution Manage and mentor field teams to ensure quality, efficiency, and consistency Set daily priorities and ensure work is completed to Lotus standards Train team members on proper horticultural techniques and care methods Maintain a calm, solutions-oriented presence on site
Client & Estate Oversight Serve as a key point of contact for select clients Walk properties regularly and identify needs before they arise Communicate recommendations clearly and professionally Ensure a seamless, high-touch experience aligned with a luxury service model
Operations & Quality Control Coordinate scheduling, materials, and logistics with internal team Ensure projects and maintenance visits are executed on time and at a high level Document progress, observations, and recommendations (photos/notes) Maintain organization across multiple properties and priorities

Requirements
Who You Are 8–15+ years experience in horticulture, estate gardening, or landscape management Deep plant knowledge with strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills A natural leader who can guide teams while maintaining high standards Highly detail-oriented with a strong sense of ownership and pride in your work Comfortable working in high-end residential environments Organized, proactive, and calm under pressure Passionate about creating and maintaining beautiful, living spaces
