Reporting to the Senior Manager of Accounting, Pharmacy Services (PS) Controllers Group, the Manager, Accounting will oversee the financial operations and ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions.
The Manager, Accounting will help lead financial reporting and analysis, and develop a team that maintains the integrity of financial data, manages accounting processes, and ensures compliance with accounting principles and regulations.
What you will do
- Analyzes general ledger activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end/year-end closing processes.
- Ensures compliance with internal controls and accounting policies. Identifies and implements process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.
- Coordinates and supports external audits, providing necessary documentation and addressing audit findings.
- Assists with the development of financial policies and procedures to ensure adherence to accounting standards and regulations.
- Collaborates with tax advisors to ensure compliance with tax regulations, provides necessary information and documentation for tax filings, and supports tax-related inquiries.
- Determines accounting software tools to manage financial transactions, maintain records, and generate reports.
- Allocates work assignments, manages workloads, and ensures tasks are completed within deadlines.
- Assists with the development of team members by providing guidance, training, and support to foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
Minimum Qualifications
- 5+ years of accounting or finance experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred.
- 1+ years of supervisory level experience
- 7+ years of accounting or finance experience
- Adept at execution and delivery (planning, delivering, and supporting) skills.
- Adept at business intelligence and AI.
- Adept at problem solving and decision making skills.
- Health care and pharmaceutical related business and accounting experience is preferred.
- Adept at collaboration and teamwork.
- Adept at growth mindset (agility and developing yourself and others) skills.
Education
- Bachelor's degree OR specialized training/relevant professional experience (4 Years).

Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$66,330.00 - $145,860.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
